A Georgia native, Ross grew up in the Decatur area and later attended high school in Conyers. From there, he moved to Bristol, Tennessee, and attended King College, where he graduated with a degree in Political Science and History in 1993. He was then accepted to the University of Wyoming College of Law, and graduated with his Juris Doctor degree in 1998. While attending the University of Wyoming College of Law, Ross first entered the criminal defense law arena working in the Prosecution Clinic, Albany County Wyoming.

After graduation from law school, Ross returned to Georgia, and began working as a law clerk for the judges on the Appalachian Judicial Circuit. He then went on to serve as an Assistant Solicitor General in Cherokee County, and later as an Assistant District Attorney in Cherokee County. Ross then began his Criminal Defense career in 2004 as a trial lawyer in private practice.

Attorney Ross Grisham is a member in good standing of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
